My name is Pascal and I'm an athlete/coach very focused on long distance sports. Father of three beautiful children, I share my life between my family, my work in aeronautics and my passion for endurance sports.
My adventure began in 2007 with the mountain bike. I chained up races of greater distance for finally found myself in 2010 in my first race 160km (100miles) in the beautiful forests of Michigan. My preference for long distance has seriously rooted with these races that requires more than 10 hours of effort.
The coming of the Ironman serie in Tremblant in 2012 gave me the oppportunity to try the long distance in the triathlon format. Two IM70.3 completed over two weeks (with my mountain bike) were enough to create this passion. But it was only in 2013 (this time with proper equipment) I could taste the sensation of full Ironman despite a collarbone completely exploded 60 days earlier in a mountain bike race that took more than 2hrs surgery! Hear 'Pascal, you are an Ironman' after this ordeal was totally magical. A second participation in 2014 allowed me to validate my training plan developed with my coach. Despite a better time, I left Tremblant with mixed feelings.
In 2015, I decided to devote an entire season to running and this is how Trailrunning is enter in my life like a cannonball. I was able to not only improve my running technique, but also regain that feeling of freedom, connection with nature without the need to have the latest technology. What happiness! The trail had transformed my stride and minimalist has established itself as the only option again trails that become more and more technical. The Harricana allowed me to test these new skills, 65km of trail with 2000m + elevation seemed a good idea at the time. Despite the cloud of butterflies in the stomach before the start it was a pure pleasure...
There we go, a new objective was born, the 100 miles of trail running! Next stop on the way to this goal, the Harricana 125km in September 2016.
If long distances interest you, please contact me and we'll have lots of fun together!
